Smartie is proud to be 100% Pacific Owned and Operated. Based in the Cook Islands, we feature all forms of accommodation in the South Pacific, from Hotels to BnBs.
Assisting local businesses to reach their customers and helping travellers explore the South Pacific, we maximise the opportunity by having a positive social and environmental impact across the region. We work towards supporting sustainable tourism in our Pacific region and at the same time helping increase local business and developing our local economy.
Green Heart Program
We are a Pacific business that is passionate about sustainable tourism. We were excited to engage with a local environmental manager based here in the Cook Islands. Together we created our “Green Heart” program that is currently being integrated into our site. This will be the first OTA program of its kind across the Pacific Region which we are very proud to implement and potentially partner with PTI on.
Our Green Heart program, set up broad in its framework, allows us to engage with both larger corporate bodies as well as smaller local families who are working in accommodation within our Pacific region. The program enables us as a business to recognise and encourage our Partners, people and businesses who are working towards more environmentally conscious and sustainable tourism. We believe this will be a very powerful tool towards encouraging and rewarding our Partners in striving towards our same goal - a more sustainable tourism industry to maintain our beautiful paradise islands.
Smartie works in synergy with our sister company, Jasons Travel Media. Jasons has been around for the last 51 years, a marketing company that specializes in South Pacific Visitor Maps, Guide Books and Online Digital Marketing, which also assists in the marketing of Smartie to travellers.
